Tasting Notes:
Aroma: red berry fruits, honeysuckle and mint Taste: baked stone fruits (apricots, peaches, plums) and spearmint, cherries in milk chocolate Finish: long, zesty, lemon sherbet and creamy cappuccino For the creation of Glenmorangie Artein, Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie’s Head of Distilling & Whisky Creation, has been influenced by stone – something which has a special importance for Glenmorangie. In the Scottish Highlands, on Glenmorangie Distillery land, there is a stone of symbolic significance: The Hilton of Cadboll Stone. This ancient monument has become Glenmorangie’s emblem. In addition, Glenmorangie’s water source, the Tarlogie Spring filters through layers of stone which add rich minerals that eventually give Glenmorangie it's complex layers of fruity aromas. The result is an exceptional whisky, shaped by stone. In the rugged Tuscan hillside, stone also plays a key role. The vineyards where the elite category of ‘Super Tuscan’ wines are cultivated lie on the most improbable of stony grounds. This makes them the perfect partner for extra maturing Glenmorangie Artein, adding extra layers of richness and depth.
