Glenfiddich Rich Oak is matured using a pioneering process as below:

Matured for a minimum of 14 years in traditional American Oak casks & delicately finished in NEW American & European oak – resulting in a complex harmony of lively fruit flavours & rich new oak.

– American; initial spicy oak notes followed by vibrant vanilla and rich dried fruit flavours.

– European; elegant hints of fruit with a complex nuttiness and a warming, spicy oak finish.

The pioneering finishing appeals to whisky enthusiasts, because it ensures a mouth tingling and spicy complexity of taste - followed by a long lingering finish

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Initially spicy oak notes and rich vibrant vanilla. Hints of freshly sawn wood, dried fruits, raisins and apricots. With time, some softer toffee notes appear, caramelised pear and gentle fragrant floral aromas.

Taste: Mouth tingling and spicy on first tasting. Rich vanilla sweetness is followed up with zesty fruit flavours and some wood spice. A very lively taste with a long, lingering finish with warming oak notes.
