Varietal Composition: Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) from the vineyard of Zvi Shosayov in Karmei Yosef (Samson area). Shiraz (50%) from the vineyard of brothers Reuven and Avraham Birger in Kfar Kish (Lower Galilee).

Production Highlights: The grapes of each variety were harvested separately, two weeks apart. After destemming the grapes were fermented separately with the skins for two weeks. They were then pressed and aged in oak barrels for eight months, after which they were mixed to create the final blend.

Wine Characteristics: Characteristic fruit aroma with hints of forest berries against an elegant backdrop of oak and a whiff of vanilla. This medium bodied wine is ready to drink now but will keep beautifully in the bottle for the coming three years. The wine is ideal for serving with Mediterranean-style cold salads, herb lamb kebabs and hard aromatic cheeses such as Pecorini.
